Carleen Johnson of "The Center Square" digital news and Bainbridge Island
Attorney Joel Ard who will be speaking on recent court battles including the
Anti-Sheriff Bill (SB5974) and the illegal Income Tax Bill (SB6346). Joel is the
attorney for Rick Kuss who is running for Sheriff of Kitsap County. He will
present the details of this bad bill (SB5974) and decribe how it
can authorize the removal from office of a duly elected Constitutional Sheriff
despite the vote of the people. This is atrocious and is being fought in court.
Joel will also discuss the unconstitutional State IncomeTax Bill (SB634)
that your Legislators and your Governor just passed. You have
been royally screwed and do not even know it yet. You must now all file a State
Income Tax (not just Millionaires) to try and get the family exemption, as the
target keeps moving. In 2024, lawmakers adopted Initiative 2111 by overwhelming
margins of 76-21 in the House and 38-11 in the Senate. That initiative banned
Washington from taxing “any individual person on any form of personal income.”
Less than two years later, the same Legislature made an exception to that ban,
in the same bill that needs the exception to be legal. Also, there is no
“emergency” as stated in the Bill about a tax that won’t be collected for two
years.
The constitutional problem is straightforward. Since 1933,
Washington’s Supreme Court has held that income is property under our
Constitution, and property taxes must be uniform. The court reaffirmed this in
2023 when it upheld the capital gains tax, but only because that tax targeted a
specific voluntary transaction: selling investments. The “millionaires’ tax” has
no such limiting principle. It taxes “the receipt of income,” which is just
another way of saying it taxes income. In 1936, the court rejected this exact
formulation in Jensen v. Henneford. This Tax bill is the first step to taxing
normal Washington citizens 9.9% in the very near future.
If the State Supreme Court overrules Culliton v. Chase, the 1933 precedent, as
the Washington State Attorney General is requesting, there is no longer any
constitutional barrier to a graduated income tax on all Washingtonians and you
will be taxed to death.
Major Company billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Howard Schultz are leaving
Washington, as companies quietly evaluate whether Washington State is still the
right place to grow. When big companies leave Washington, the taxes they paid in
the past will now be paid or collected from us regular citizens to support the
Budget. But the deeper issue is simpler. The Legislature made a promise to
voters (no income tax), as stated above, (in 2024) and broke it in 2026. Then
they blocked the public from having a say by not allowing a referendum by the
people to vote down this illegal Income tax by wording in the bill. Now, with
the governor’s signature approving the tax bill, lawmakers are asking the State
Supreme court to rewrite 93 years of settled law to validate a bill they know is
Unconstitutional.

The fight for IL26-126 is firing up and the left is once again trying to lie about what requiring Voter ID does and doesn't do. Here are the facts:
Once again Democrats have proven themselves to be the party of slavery. The State of WA has entered a very dark time in 2025. We now have a Super-majority Democrat controlled government. No Republicans can stop anything the Democrats want to do. After this last session we now live in a state of slavery in WA where the governor can declare an emergency and force you to get an innoculation against your will. And that's just the beginning. Guess what the last session in Olympia achieved for "us"... the highest tax hike in WA history and the reversal of the Parental Rights bill recently passed. Bob Ferguson is your new master!
But do you know what our biggest problem is in WA? A large population of intentionally ignorant and apathetic citizens who do not vote and are fearful about discussing politics with their friends and neighbors. We are a generation primed for repeating history's mistakes in a very bad way if people don't get involved in their government and fight to stop the corruption and ignorance happening in their own backyards.

The Puget Sound Patriots (PSP) congratulate Coach Joe Kennedy of Bremerton High School on his Supreme Court victory 'for all of us'. He and his family suffered hardship for eight years while multiple appeals went through our courts until finally reaching the Supreme Court of the U.S. There we had enough educated justices (that actually know our Constitution) to overturn his persecution and firing for exercising his God given first amendment rights. This case should never have made it to the Supreme Court. The judges in our local systems either can't read and understand our Constitution, or just ignore it contrary to their oathes. Either way they disgrace us and should have the decency to step down and save taxpayers money when they are unable to (or refuse to) fulfill their duties. Also we thank and congratulate the Liberty First Institute lawyers for their tireless work and success on this case.
Coach Kennedy has released a book called "Average Joe" which tells his story and inspires readers to live more boldly! A few of our Patriot members attended Coach Kennedys first game back on the coaching staff of Bremerton High School. It was the September 1st 2023 season opener and we are happy to report that Bremerton won!

Vaccine Mandates
We oppose 'government mandated' vaccinations and any gov't requirement for citizens to show any type of proof of vaccination in order to work (obtain a job), enter into restaurants or other public places of business, or to participate in any public events. The role of the Government is to advise/inform the citizens and then let the citizens make their decisions in consultation with their doctor/health care provider. Gov'ts forcing anyone to take something into their body that could cause serious harm/death is a direct affront to your freedom and bodily safety. It is also an example of criminal abuse of power well beyond any alignment with our U.S. constitution and mostly resembles the tactics of Nazis in WWII.
Mandatory vaccinations violate the 1st, 4th, and 14th amendments to the U.S. Constitution and violate the following Washington State Laws:
RCW 49.60.030 Religious Freedom Restoration Act
RCW 43.06.210.(2)(g) Governors Emergency Powers Act (exceeds the authority of the act as it violate the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution and the Governor is specifically prohibited from doing that as stated in:
RCW 9.91.010 Section 2, denial of civil rights of citizens from entering property for business
Contact your legislators and local government officials and protest these unlawful vaccine mandates. Take your rights back. The next atrocious and illegal thing the government will try is to use the DOJ and its subordinate agencies to investigate people protesting their local school boards for promoting Critical Race Theory and Equity, and calling those peacefully protesting domestic terrorists.
